這也是為什麼愈來愈多人會加天文旅遊－前往某些地點，在那裡專注觀賞恆星、行星、日月蝕，以及其他相關的太空現象。
暗空公園
非營利組織「國際暗天協會」認證了一些夜空夠暗可以好好觀星的公園。
截至二O二O年二月，該協會已認證超過一百三十個合格地點，其中一些分布在歐洲、亞洲及北美洲。
這些公園多數都會舉行天文講座、星夜派對及其他與星星相關的活動。
星空響宴
在美國內布拉斯加州中北部，三十年來每一年都會舉辦一場為期一週的「星空饗宴」。
響宴地點位於梅里特水庫，活動特色包括開設初學者天文學入門班以及一些專為兒童設計的課程；還有諸如攝影比賽等各式專題挑戰。
