運動營銷執行長湯尼，龐圖羅在大谷身上就看到了未來。
他說：「棒球不是過時的運動；其振興之重責大任將會落在這些年輕新球員的肩膀上，尤其像大谷這種天才。」二Oー八年某天，大谷在完成打擊練習之後，開始幫球迷簽名。
在他遞給一個六歲孩子簽完名的球棒後，男孩開心大喊：「這是有史以來最厲害的棒球選手！」大谷翔平為棒球帶來活力與新方向。

What makes Ohtani stand out?
Shohei Ohtani is what's known in the baseball world as a two-way player. That means he excels at hitting and pitching the ball, while most players excel in one or the other. One reporter stated that Ohtani hits the ball farther than anyone else. He also throws it harder and runs faster, all while having the time of his life. His enthusiasm is contagious!
Many in baseball have high hopes for Shohei Ohtani and the game.
Sports marketing executive Tony Ponturo sees the future in Ohtani. He said, "We're not a dead sport, and we're going to build on the shoulders of these new young players, and particularly a talent like this."
One day in 2018 after batting practice, Ohtani began signing autographs. After he gave a 6-year-old a signed bat, the boy exclaimed, "That's the best baseball
player ever!"
Shohei Ohtani is bringing energy and a new direction to the game. He's opening doors for other two-way players. More importantly, he's proving that baseball can be an exciting sport for fans, young and old alike.
