我們家特有的復活節慶祝方式My family had a very special way of celebrating Easter
我媽為了這個一年一度的活動總是全力以赴。
她超愛組合搭配以及裝飾布置適合這個活動的裝扮和物件。
有一年，她創作出一個巨大的復活彩蛋籃;又有一年，她做了一個老式的火車頭。
還有一年，她直接打造了一艘帆船，讓我們在草坪上一路推拉前進。
我們通常是眾所矚目的焦點。
媒體攝影記者都會聚集在我們的周圍拍照；而我們則是開心地微笑和揮手。
這樣度過這一天，真的就是棒透了!
上新聞過後，我們門會衝回家看當天的晚報。
通常我們都會上頭版!
復活節後的星期一是我們家唯一會對電視新聞感興趣的時候。
我們會在各電視頻道之間轉來轉去，大聲叫嚷著：「快看、快看，我們在那裡！」住在全國各地的家族成員也會紛紛打電話過來；聲稱有看到我們上電視或是上報了。
出名真是有趣啊！
即使只維持了一天。

My mother went all out for this yearly event. She just loved putting together costumes and decorating things that were suitable for the event. One year she created a huge Easter basket. Another year she made an old-time train engine. And once she made a sailboat that we pushed and pulled through the grass. We were usually the center of attention. Photographers from the press would crowd around us, taking pictures. We smiled and waved happily. What a great way to spend the day!
The news
Afterward we would race home to look at the evening newspaper. We were often front-page news! Easter Monday was the only time we were interested in watching the TV news. "Look, look, there we are!" we would shout as we went back and forth between channels. Family members from across the country would call. They would
announce that they had seen us on TV or in the newspaper. How fun to be famous!
Even if it was only for a day.
