阿爾罕布拉宮座落於薩比卡山丘上、眺望西班牙南部大城格拉納達，俯視看顧著一切。

History, mystery, victory and defeat. If the walls of the Alhambra could talk, what stories they could tell! Tales of rich Muslim rulers, Christian kings and queens, plots and takeovers. Sitting on Sabika Hill overlooking the grand city of Granada in southern Spain, the Alhambra watches over all. Muslims ruled Spain for 700 years. During that time, they built a spectacular complex of palaces and gardens surrounded by 1,730 meters of walls.
The Alhambra's most celebrated structures are the three original palaces -Comares Palace, Palace of the Lions and Partal Palace. All were built during the 14th century. Visitors can walk through the stunning Court of Myrtles and find themselves in a maze of beautifully decorated rooms.
Water has a dominant presence here. One of the decorations, it lies still, bubbles
or flows in channels through the rooms. There are no images of living creatures.
Instead geometric designs and Arabic writing cover the walls. One phrase in Arabic, "Only God is victorious," can be found 9,000 times throughout the Alhambra.
