事實上，我最喜歡的假期就是在海邊度假。

Someone once said, "Happiness is a day at the beach!" I completely agree. In fact, my favorite vacation is a beach vacation.
I love swimming in clear blue water and walking on white sand beaches. As I walk, I search for treasure! No, I don't search for gold or jewels; I look for seashells. It's a fun hobby, and anyone at any age can do it. Plus, you never know what kind of treasures the sea will offer.
There's even an official name for people who collect and study shells: "conchologist." Besides being unique and interesting, shells serve an important function. They provide housing and protection for sea organisms. That brings us to the first rule of searching for seashells: Never keep a shell that still has a living creature inside.
When you hunt for shells, take along something to dig with. Always take a small bucket or cloth bag to carry your discoveries in, too. And a plastic seashell picture card is a fun way to identify shells on the spot.
