974體育場由九百七十四個貨櫃構成，座椅都可以拆開卸下。
這兩座體育場以及另外的五座都將於世足賽結束之後拆除，拆下的零件則會送往開發中國家成為他們的體育場館。
卡達世足賽的官方比賽用球是—「旅程」，其設計運用了能記錄球場狀況的科技技術。

What's the most popular sport in the world? Soccer, or football - by a huge margin. So it's no surprise that millions of people are watching the World Cup. Teams from 32 countries are playing to determine the sport's new world champion.
Held in the Middle East for the first time, this World Cup is not just about sports. Qatar is inviting the world to explore its culture along with its landscapes and attractions.
Sixty-four matches are being played in eight different venues. Al Bayt Stadium is covered with a design that looks like a giant tent. And it is portable! Stadium 974 was constructed using 974 shipping containers and seats that can be removed. These two stadiums, along with five others, will be taken apart following the tournament. The parts will then be sent to developing countries to become sports venues.
The Official Match Ball - Al Rihla uses technology that records what's happening on the field. That data goes instantly to officials who then use it to help with questions about plays.
