Years ago, when I was a boy, I lay in bed on Christmas Eve.

It stopped outside my house as snow fell from the sky.
I put on my slippers and robe浴衣;睡袍 and went outside.

Warm-up Question: What present do you hope to get this winter?
The train went quickly across snowy mountains to the North Pole.
The conductor told us, "Santa will give the first gift of Christmas there."
Finally, we arrived at the North Pole.
We saw hundreds of elves, as well as Santa and his reindeer.
Santa chose me to get the first gift of Christmas!
I asked for a silver bell from his sleigh.
I put the bell in the pocket of my robe.
Soon, Santa and his reindeer flew away on the sleigh.
Back on the Polar Express, everyone wanted to see the bell.
However, when I put my hand in my pocket, I only found a hole!

When the train reached my house, I sadly waved goodbye.
The next morning, my sister Sarah and I opened our Christmas presents.
There was a small box with my name on it behind the Christmas tree.
It had a note attached.
It said, "Fix that hole in your pocket. –Mr. C."

When I rang it, Sarah and I heard a beautiful sound.
