Part 1
In the future, people can travel into space.
在未來，人類可以飛到外太空。
Years ago, they fought a war with aliens, called the Buggers, who nearly wiped out humans.
好幾年前，人類與一種叫做蟲族的外星人打了一場戰爭，
而人類差點被徹底消滅。
However, the government fears the aliens will return one day.

Now the smartest teenagers in the world go to Battle School.

There, they learn how to command fleets in case the Buggers attack again.

Nine-year-old Andrew "Ender" Wiggin is one of the best students at Battle School.

He can beat difficult computer games and win "wargames," which are an important part of his studies there.

Part 2
The better Ender does in the games, the harder they become.
安德在遊戲中表現得越好，遊戲難度就越高。
Ender begins having terrible dreams about the Buggers, though.
不過安德開始做有關蟲族的惡夢，
He starts to hate Command School.

When the final test comes, he uses his fleet to bomb the Bugger planet, destroying it.

The generals cheer, and then tell Ender that the battles were not actually simulated.

Ender was controlling real human spaceships as they fought the Buggers.

Now, he has wiped the alien's army out.

Ender doesn't want to live on Earth anymore after the war, so he makes his way to some planets where the Buggers used to live.
安德在戰爭結束後不想再待在地球上了，於是他前往了一些蟲族以前居住的星球。
On one of them, Ender meets the last Bugger Queen.
在其中一個星球上，安德碰到了僅存的蟲族皇后。
One of the games he played at Battle School allows him to communicate with her.
他在戰鬥學校玩過的一款遊戲使得他能與蟲后進行溝通。
The Queen tells him that the Buggers never wanted to kill humans.
蟲后告訴他蟲族其實根本沒有想要殺害人類，
Meanwhile, humans wanted the Buggers' resources and started the war.
而人類因為覬覦蟲族的資源才引起戰爭。
To stop the Buggers from dying out, Ender takes the Queen's eggs and looks for a planet where the Buggers can live in peace.
為了阻止蟲族滅亡，安德帶著蟲后的蛋去尋找一個蟲族能平安生存的星球。

Part 3
The main theme of Orson Scott Card's novel Ender's Game is war.
歐森‧史考特‧卡德的小說《戰爭遊戲》中最重要的主題是戰爭。
Ender is raised to lead soldiers, but nobody cares how the teachers or students treat him.

The book also makes readers question the morality of war.
