瑪蒂達Matilda

每個星期四，川契布爾小姐都會在哈妮小姐的班上教一堂課。

她會問學生很難的數學題目以及拼寫問題，然後再懲罰回答不出來的人。

Matilda Wormwood, a remarkably brilliant child, lives with her parents and her older brother Michael. Her parents do not pay much attention to her or give her the love that she deserves.

Matilda's father is a dishonest car salesman. She thinks he acts like a bully and calls him a cheater, but this only makes him mad. Matilda decides to punish her parents for being selfish, so she plays tricks on them. She glues her father's hat to his head!

Matilda teaches herself to read and is reading books written for adults by the age of four. She teaches herself to solve complex math problems, too. When Matilda starts school, her teacher Miss Honey recognizes her intelligence. She asks to move Matilda to a higher grade, but her request is denied by the headmistress, Miss Trunchbull.

Miss Trunchbull despises children and is cruel. Once she was seen tossing a girl over the school fence because she didn't like her pigtails. Every Thursday Miss Trunchbull goes into Miss Honey's class to teach for one period. She asks them difficult math and spelling questions and punishes whoever cannot answer.

The opposite of the word deny, there's a few different words that we can use with requests: um, to honor a request or to fulfill a request.

The teacher honored Jeff's request to switch to a seat closer to the front so he could see better.

That means Jeff asked to sit closer to the front, and the teacher said, "Sure."
