The Wind and the Sun
One day, the sun and the wind decide to play a game.
They want to test their strength.
They try to get a man to take off his coat.
The wind tries to blow the coat off the man's body.
When the man feels the wind, he holds the coat tightly so it won't fly off飛走.
Next, it's the sun's turn.(it’s one’s turn)
He shines down, so the man feels hot.
He takes off his coat because of the warm weather.
The wind learns that it's better to be clever than strong. 聰明比強壯好
The Bird and the Water Bottle
One hot afternoon, a thirsty bird is looking for water.
The bird finds a bottle.
There is some water inside.
The bird tries to drink it, but the bottle is tall and has a narrow neck.
He can't reach the water inside.
He's ready to give up, but then he has an idea.
The bird picks up some rocks and drops them in the bottle.
This makes the water level rise.
After a few minutes, the water reaches the top of the bottle.
Now the bird can drink it.
The bird learns that we can use our minds to find answers to hard problems. 使用頭腦尋找難題的解答
An Honest Man
One day, a man drops his axe into a river when he's cutting down a tree.
The river god sees this and comes to help.
However, he wants to test the man.
He puts his hand in the river and pulls out a gold axe.
"Is this yours?" the god asks.
"No, it's more expensive than mine," says the man.
Next, the god hands the man a silver axe, and the man says the same thing.
Finally, the god gives the man his axe.
He also gives him the other axes because he didn't tell a lie.
This story shows that it's good to be honest.
