The school year started recently, and the two classmates are talking about afterschool activities.
Vivian, on the other hand, prefers to participate in some afterschool activities.
Emma plans to use her time on her studies.
Vivian: Hey, you're Emma, right? You said you're new to Case.
Emma: That's right. I overheard you talking to someone earlier.
Vivian: Me, too. I recently moved to Georgetown. I'm Vivian.
Emma: Nice to meet you. So, what's your impression of the school so far?
Vivian: It's not bad. I'm just beginning to get to know people.
Emma: Same. It'll take some time, but that's OK.
Vivian: That's why I'm signing up for some afterschool activities. I think being involved will help me meet people and adjust faster.
Emma: Good idea. What are you going to do?
Vivian: I'm trying out for the soccer team, joining a dance club and volunteering
at the hospital.
Emma: Wow, that's a lot!
Vivian: Maybe, but I think it'll be fine. What about you?
Emma: I'm not going to do any afterschool activities. There will be plenty of schoolwork to keep me busy.
