文藝復興節是邀請民眾走進過去的慶典活動；剛開始舉辦的慶祝主體都是鎖定中古世紀歐洲。
但現在則成為歷史呈現和虛構想像的混合體。
你將能在第四十八屆美國TRF德州文藝復興節裡看到所有的轉變以及更豐富的內容。
歐洲古樂
文藝復興節以諸多特色著稱——音樂就是其中之一。
今年的慶典中，你將會看到各樣才華橫溢的表演者。
當地文藝復興節慶樂團Cantiga將以弦樂器演奏古老的歐洲音樂。
如果你想實際參與表演，倒是可以去拜訪一下「夜鶯」。
夜鶯是一位以歌曲講述故事，同時鼓勵觀眾一同加入歡唱跳舞的表演者。
而這些都只是今年節慶中的小部分音樂節目。
Time is a strange thing. It's always moving - almost too fast it seems. Do you ever want to take a break from the fast pace of the modern world? If so, a Renaissance festival might be just the ticket!
Renaissance festivals are events which invite people to step into the past. The first festivals celebrated medieval Europe. But they are now a mix of the historical and the imaginary. You will find all of this and more at the 48th annual Texas Renaissance Festival.
Music
Renaissance festivals are known for many things - music being one of them. At this year's festival you'll find various talented performers. Cantiga, a local Renaissance festival band, is performing ancient European music on their stringed instruments.
If you want to actually take part, you might want to visit The Nightingale. She tells stories with her songs while encouraging the audience to join in and dance. And this is just a small sample of the music at this year’s festival.
