Railfans don't just like to ride trains. They like to climb on and off railcars and locomotives and learn everything about railways. There's no better place to do
that than at a railway museum. These museums contain real trains as well as exhibits of photos and artifacts from trains.
Railfans can see Japan's famous bullet trains in The Kyoto Railway Museum in Kyoto, Japan. These trains were the first in Japan's high-speed train revolution.
America's trains are on display in the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Fans can wander among dozens of trains that transported people and goods across the United States.
Train World, in Brussels, Belgium, just opened in 2015. It contains the oldest locomotive in continental Europe which dates from 1845. The museum celebrates the past and looks to the future of train travel.
An incredible train ride or visit to a railway museum may be enough to turn anyone into a railfan!
