馬祖珍寶值得親臨探究Matsu's treasures await discovery

我們在馬祖的第二天，一開始便從東引搭船前往南竿島。

南竿是馬祖列島的最大島，就像許多其他島嶼一樣，曾是一處軍事前哨基地；這一點也不難看出，因為我們花了一整天參觀多處已變成觀光景點的老舊軍事碉堡及坑道。

在南竿的時候，我們嘗了一些當地食物。

「佛手」是一種形狀有如動物爪子的甲殼類，最是令人難忘；佛手的味道和口感很難描述，因為我從沒吃過像這樣的東西。

這次旅程我唯一的遺憾就是，沒能趕上赫赫有名的「藍眼淚」。

藍眼淚是藻類在受到湧浪衝擊下所發出的藍光。

在每年天氣較暖和的月分，如果條件允許的話，就會出現藍眼淚。

那時候，馬祖海岸就會閃爍著一整片魔幻藍光。

顯然，景色一定非常壯觀。

我想我也只能再計畫一次馬祖之旅來欣賞這個奇景了

Our second day in Matsu started with a boat ride from Dongyin to Nangan Island. Nangan, the largest of the Matsu Islands, used to be a military outpost, as many of the other islands had been. This fact was clear from the old military forts and tunnels turned tourist attractions that we visited throughout the day.

While on Nangan, we got to sample some of the local food. Buddha's hand, which is a shellfish shaped like an animal claw, was the most memorable. The flavor and texture are hard to describe as they were unlike anything I had ever eaten before.

My only regret on our trip was that we didn't get to catch the legendary Blue Tears. Blue Tears are algae that glow blue when they are hit by crashing waves. This happens when the conditions are right during the warmer months of the year.

Buddha’s hand / gooseneck barnacle

Buddha’s hand佛手柑，或稱佛手果、五指柑、福壽柑和密羅柑，是枸櫞的變種，果實在成熟時各心皮分離，形成細長彎曲的果瓣，狀如手指，故名佛手。通常應用為中藥或園藝觀果植物。果皮和葉中含有芳香油。 同屬植物香檸檬經常被誤譯為佛手柑，兩者其實是不同物種。

gooseneck barnacle鵝頸藤壺 

有柄目，是蔓足下綱的一個目，其下有很多生物被稱為鵝頸藤壺，如鵝頸藤壺和灰藍太平洋鵝頸藤壺。該目的生物一般分佈於潮間帶的堅硬岩石表面。部分有柄目生物可以食用。
