STHE ALBUQUERQUE INTERNATIONAL BALLOON FIESTA國際熱氣球嘉年華
黎明巡航期間，在音樂演奏聲響中，約莫十二個熱氣球會在日出之前起飛升空，進行天氣測試。
巡航隊會在天剛破曉時降落，其後的數百名飛行員再以熱氣球晨光秀照亮天際。
飛行員在熱氣球還固定在地面時，透過打開丙烷燃燒器達此目的；火焰使得熱氣球發出光芒，猶如巨型燈籠！
另外，晚上也會有熱氣球燈光秀，有時候還會有煙火施放伴隨。
沒舉辦個競賽活動來增添趣味，嘉年華慶典就不算完整了。
在飛行競賽中，熱氣球飛行員會進行一些特殊挑戰，像是從熱氣球上投擲物體到標的區。
此外，還有一項名為美國熱氣球挑戰賽的長途飛行賽。
在該競賽中，飛行員競相比拚看誰能夠在降落之前達到飛行最遠距離，而優勝者則由衛星追蹤判定，因為有些飛行員甚至能往北飛行遠抵加拿大！

During the Dawn Patrol, music plays while about a dozen balloons lift off before sunrise to conduct a weather test. They land just as it begins to get light, and then hundreds of pilots light up the sky with the Morning Glow. They do this by firing up their propane burners while their balloons are still fastened to the ground. The flames make the balloons glow like huge paper lanterns! There are balloon glows in the evening as well, sometimes accompanied by fireworks.
No festival would be complete without some competitive events to spice things up. In the flying competitions, balloon pilots undertake special challenges such as dropping objects onto targets from their balloons. There is also a long-distance race called America's Challenge Gas Balloon Race. In this competition, pilots try to see who can travel the farthest distance before landing. The winner is determined using satellite tracking, with some pilots even going as far north as Canada!
