電子煙，YES還是NO？ TO VAPE OR NOT TO VAPE

Vaping is anything but harmless

過去五十年來有關注新聞報導的人都知道，吸菸對人體的健康有害。

沒有人應該吸進那些可能導致癌症的煙霧及有毒的化學物質。

有些吸菸的人轉向使用電子煙來解除尼古丁的癮，或者是藉以嘗試戒菸。

然而，根據世界衛生組織（WHO），目前並沒有實證顯示電子煙能有效輔助戒菸。

尼古丁是成癮物質，尤其對青少年更是如此；因為尼古丁會損害發育中的大腦，青少年成癮會導致成年時更不容易戒斷。

尼古丁還會導致青少年難以控制衝動、注意力不集中、學習能力降低等不良後果。

此外，使用電子煙的青少年未來吸紙菸的風險高兩倍。

青少年之所以受到吸引使用電子煙霧器，是因為行銷手段及添加的味道讓電子煙看起來很酷。

青少年認為電子煙並不像吸菸一樣有危害，因為那只不過是一些帶有味道的水蒸氣而已。

然而，研究顯示，電子液體或稱電子果汁中含有很多對人體有害的成分，像是甲醛。

Anyone who has paid attention to the news over the past five decades knows that smoking cigarettes is bad for one's health. No one should inhale smoke or toxic chemicals, which can cause cancer. Some who smoke have turned to e-cigarettes to get their nicotine fix or to try to stop smoking. However, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), there is little documentation that e-cigarettes are effective as a quit-smoking aid.

Nicotine is addictive, especially for adolescents. Because of the effect nicotine has on the developing brain, becoming addicted as teens makes them more likely to continue to use nicotine as adults.

The chemical also makes it harder for teens to control their impulses, concentrate and learn. In addition, teens who vape face twice the risk of smoking regular cigarettes in the future. 

Adolescents are enticed【誘惑】 to use vaping devices because the marketing and flavorings make it appear to be cool.

Teens think that vaping isn't as harmful as smoking because they're just inhaling water vapor with flavor. Research shows, however, that there are a lot of ingredients

such as formaldehyde【甲醛】 in vaping liquids, or e-juices, that harm the human body.

Cover your mouth, and don’t inhale the gas that is in the air because it is bad for your health.
