沒有多久前，機器人還只是存在於科幻作家的想像中；現在，已經成為學校課程中正常的一部分。

全世界愈來愈多學校都把機器人納入學期活動清單裡。

機器人技術團隊於各活動中征戰競賽，藉以展示團隊有多麼善於為自己的機械發明注入生氣。

從某一方面而言，這個趨勢再自然不過了：孩子們本來就喜歡玩遊戲並且參加各式各樣的比賽。

孩子們尤其著迷於電動玩具和科技。

將這一切加總在一起，會得到什麼呢?

就是機器人競賽!

自然情況下，研究機器人能強化學生在科學、技術、工程、數學等STEM方面的技能。

設計機器人需要具備好奇心、邏輯推理以及嚴謹思考；此外，還有社交層面的益處。

除此之外，參與機器人研發計畫有助學生在解決問題及達成目標的過程中培養決心及韌性，

 Not so long ago, robots existed only in the imaginations of science fiction writers; now they're a normal part of the school curriculum. More and more schools around the world are integrating robotics into their menu of activities.

 Robotics teams compete in events to show how skillful they can be at making

their mechanical inventions come to life. In a way, this trend is only natural: Kids love playing games and engaging in competitions of all sorts. Kids are particularly enamored with video games and technology. Put all of that together and what do you get? Robotics competitions!

 Why do many schools recognize the benefits of robotics teams? Naturally, robotics strengthens students' STEM skills (science, technology, engineering and math). Designing robots requires curiosity, logic and critical thinking.

 There are social benefits as well. When kids work together on a robotics team, it helps them learn about teamwork, collaboration and leadership. Besides that, working on robotics projects helps students learn determination and resilience as they solve problems and achieve their goals. In an increasingly high-tech world, robotics prepares kids for the future. And the feeling of accomplishment when they build a working robot - and win in a competition is incomparable!-
