apartment【rent】
一戶整層公寓，美式英語，一棟大樓apartment building會有好幾戶apartment，apartment在英國則指較高級的整層公寓，擁有比一般公寓更多的附設設施。
There is a train station near the apartment complex we live in.
我們住的社區大樓附近有個火車站。
The public facilities in our apartment complex are great.
我們社區大樓的公共設施很棒。
flat 【rent】
英式用語，和apartment同義，英國人習慣用flat來稱呼整層的單戶公寓，單戶公寓所在的大樓叫block of flats。
condo【own】
condo也指公寓，差別在於apartment和flat是租賃的，condo的住戶則擁有這戶公寓的法律所有權，condominium的簡寫。
studio
套房，一間房內包含了客廳、廚房、餐廳和臥室，只有浴室被分隔開來，因為滿足了一個人居住的所有基本需求，又被稱作單身公寓bachelor-style apartment或studio flat，另外one bed apartment和studio很像，都是小單位的住所，但差別在one bed會將廚房、客廳隔到另外的空間，就是我們常說的一房一廳。
loft舊工廠改造的開放是居住空間
loft原意是閣樓，如今loft指前身為舊工廠或舊倉庫，後來改造成高挑開放式的居住或工作空間，擁有大片窗戶、裸露的磚牆和水管。

我們去那間帶有工業風格又有美味食物的餐廳吧！
This hotel offers loft-style rooms and suites.
這間飯店提供工業風格的客房與套房。
penthouse頂層豪華公寓
頂層豪華公寓，一定位於一棟大樓的最高樓，公寓或飯店的penthouse通常有整棟大樓最高級的設備和最好的景觀。

Townhouse / Terraced House 聯排式建築

Tips for Comfortable Conversations
Here are some ways to have a polite, comfortable conversation.
•Listen to the other person and show interest.聆聽對方且展現興趣。
•Don't ask strangers personal questions about things like money. ‧不要詢問陌生人關於像是金錢的私人問題。
•Ask open questions, not just yes or no questions. ‧問開放式問題，不要只是是非題。
•Don't say bad things about a person's looks. ‧不要針對別人的外表說些不好的話。
•Don't just talk about yourself..
•I like your shirt.
Where did you buy it? (OK)
•How much money do you make at your job? (NOT OK) ‧你在這份工作賺多少錢呢？
•Who's your favorite singer? (OK)
•Oh my God! You look tired.
Are you sick? Why do you look so bad? (NOT OK) 你生病了嗎？你為什麼看起來這麼糟？
•Did you put on weight after the Chinese New Year vacation? (NOT OK) 過完一個農曆年假，你變胖了吧？
