Wedding Reception Choices

Is a formal or informal reception better?

I don't think buffets work as well for people with food allergies and special diets.

But we could serve them separately at their tables.

Good point.

But if we had a sit-down dinner, everyone could be served at the same time.

That would include the special meals.

And we could keep to a schedule, and people could focus on the toasts.

And the dance floor wouldn't be filled with people in line for food.

I also think a sit-down dinner might be a bit less expensive.

The caterers would know exactly how much to prepare.

That's something we should check out.

I'm not sure which is cheaper.

We don't want the reception to be stiff and formal.

I would like it to be relaxed and fun.

Maybe some kind of cultural dances for people to watch while eating would make it interesting.

I went to a wedding once where they had that.

It was fun.

That's a possibility.

So are we leaning toward a sit-down banquet?

Before we make the final decision, we should think a little more about it.

Let's give ourselves this week and then decide.

Good idea.
