THE 21/90 RULE
Building good behavior patterns
It's easy to make promises, but it's hard work to keep them. Resolutions are hard to keep, too. It's only January 2. But some of us are already considering breaking our New Year's promises to ourselves. Every year we resolve to break bad habits and form good ones. Yet because it's difficult to change, many of us fail to follow through.
There might be a solution, though. It's called the 21/90 Rule. To try it, choose a habit you would like to break. Or select a good habit you would like to acquire. Next, decide on a reasonable plan to help you achieve your goal. For instance, your chosen goal might be to improve your English. Your plan is to study Studio Classroom for 20 minutes a day.
This is where the 21/90 rule comes into play. For the next three weeks, commit to 20 minutes of daily English study.
According to some research, you will have acquired a new habit when the 21 days end.
